As a financial neutral, Jacki supports Collaborative teams work through the financial decisions in their case. The role of the neutral includes collecting all financial documents from both parties, creating a marital balance sheet, evaluating each client’s current and future cash flow and assisting the team in developing and analyzing a variety of settlement scenarios. Jacki has been a sought-after resource as an educator for lawyers on the complex financial issues in divorce for many years. She often consults with attorneys on the division of complex retirement assets, non-qualified deferred compensation, stock options, RSUs and other executive benefit plans in their divorce cases.
She is a frequent speaker across the country to financial planning and legal organizations on the financial issues of divorce and QDROs, including such diverse groups as the national Society of Financial Service Professionals, various statewide financial planning associations’ and state bar association conferences. Ms. Roessler’s work with divorcing clients has been featured in “Investment News,” “Bloomberg Wealth Manager,” “Fortune Magazine,” the syndicated cable show of “Kiplinger’s Personal Finance,” and numerous local publications and media.
